about me. my story.

Catherine (she / her) is a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Therapist. Catherine uses a range of therapeutic models, including person centered, CBT, psychodynamic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Therapeutic Journaling. She is a warm, grounding and empathic Psychotherapist.

Catherine sees the relationship between client and therapist as integral and will work creatively and flexibly with the client to find the right process and therapy style for them to develop a therapeutic relationship that fully supports the clients needs and allows for success.

Catherine spends time understanding the clients life, their past, present and what they need to resolve and understand for a better and supported future. She has significant experience working with people who have experienced anxiety, abuse, depression, self-esteem issues, self-harm, grief, stress, relationship difficulties, and addiction.

Catherine took a career change following some challenges she faced in her own life which caused her to evaluate and access therapy herself. Her personal experience caused her to re-train and she now believes she has found her vocation, passion and calling as a psychotherapist. Along side her private practice at Metanoia, Catherine works as a therapist for The Self Space and within the third sector and has / is working with Platform, Mind and Women’s Aid, seeing a range of clients with varying issues and challenges.

Catherine is a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist and a registered member of the national counselling society (NCS) and The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Catherine is also a fully qualified hypnotherapist.

Catherine holds a PhD.
